Welcome to the Waste Management Research Project (WMRP) website!

Each member country of the International Youth Nuclear Congress is invited to participate in the Waste Management Research Project  that is being coordinated by Dr. Anthony Hechanova, a research scientist at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV).  The purpose of this research project is to develop a report for the International Youth Nuclear Congress in Toronto, Canada, May 2004 and to establish a stand-alone project that will continue in parallel with future Congresses.  Nuclear experts will be selected as the Points of Contact (POC) for each participating member country.  Each POC will then be asked to develop a brief "fact sheet" outlining their country's nuclear waste management strategy and to complete an opinion poll that will be developed by the WMRP group.  Below are examples of waste management strategy documents and survey questions.  Please direct questions regarding the WMRP Project to:  hechanova@unlv.edu
